Built to Your Drawing
Send a sketch, a reference photo or full technical drawings. We build to your exact dimensions, wood species and finish — or adapt any piece from our collection.
Made-to-order processTeratai Furniture is a family-run workshop on Jl. Raya Soekarno Hatta, Jepara — Indonesia's historic woodworking centre. We build solid teak and mahogany furniture to your drawing for importers, retailers, interior designers and hospitality projects, using SVLK-certified legal timber and checking every piece before it is packed for export.
Large factories optimise for one design in thousands. We are deliberately small, so we can say yes to mixed orders, custom dimensions and the details that make a collection yours.
Send a sketch, a reference photo or full technical drawings. We build to your exact dimensions, wood species and finish — or adapt any piece from our collection.
Made-to-order processA full 20ft container is typical, but if the CBM makes sense we load a half container or ship LCL alongside your other Indonesian suppliers.
Export & shipping guideOur teak and mahogany is verified under SVLK (Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu), Indonesia's national legal-timber system — essential for compliant import.
Dedicated QC/QA staff inspect joinery, sanding and finish before packing. On multi-container projects you approve each container's QC before it is loaded.
We started making furniture in Jepara in 1995. The town has been the heart of Indonesian woodworking for generations, and our workshop sits on Jl. Raya Soekarno Hatta, surrounded by the timber yards, carvers and finishers that make the region unique.
Our size is a choice, not a limitation. With four craftsmen, five finishers and two QC/QA staff — plus a sanding team that scales with each order — we can give made-to-order and mixed-item orders the attention that high-volume factories cannot. For 30 years we have supplied importers in the United States, New Zealand and Germany.

— The Teratai family workshop, Jepara
Dense, naturally oily hardwood prized for stability and moisture resistance. Our first choice for consoles, dining tables and pieces built to last generations.
Fine, even grain that takes paint and stain beautifully. A strong option for painted (duco) collections and projects with a tighter budget per piece.
Natural (shows the grain), melamine (durable lacquered surface) or duco (solid opaque colour). Send a colour reference and we match it before production.
Each design can be produced in your dimensions, wood and finish. Prices are quoted per order after we review your list, quantities and destination.
Don't see the exact piece? Send a drawing or reference photo and we will build it in teak or mahogany to your specification.
Most of our production leaves Jepara by container. These guides explain exactly how custom orders, export logistics and buyer visits work with our workshop.

How an export order runs: LCL, half container or 20ft loading, staged payments for multi-container projects, and what happens between QC and departure.

Adapt one of our designs or send your own. Dimensions, wood species, finish colour and hardware are all agreed in writing before production starts.

Usually one 20ft container, but smaller orders are welcome when the volume (CBM) makes sense to ship. We can load a half container, or ship LCL when you consolidate with your other suppliers.
About 4–6 weeks of production per 20ft container. The exact lead time depends on the design, the quantity and the finish, and we confirm it in writing in your quotation.
For multi-container projects, a 30% deposit on the whole project is paid when you order. Each container is then paid in full once you have approved its QC, before we load it. Terms for a single order are set out on your proforma invoice.
Yes. Our timber is SVLK certified under Indonesia's legal-timber verification system (Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu). Tell us your destination country so we can confirm the paperwork your market requires.
We build in solid teak and mahogany, with natural, melamine or duco finishes. Every design in our collection can be adapted to your size, wood and finish.

Yes. We ship from Jepara to buyers around the world and have supplied importers in the United States, New Zealand and Germany for 30 years. How export orders work
No. Every order is quoted individually after we have seen your product list or drawing, the quantities and your destination, so the price reflects the exact wood, finish and packing you need.
